Strategic Vision
Seeing what’s possible for innovation and growth. While some people see the trees before the forest (and others don’t see the trees at all), I already have three different paths to get to grandma’s house.
System Thinking
Connecting dots across products and departments. Every ecosystem has inflows (things going in) and outflows (things going out). If one piece changes, it will cause a ripple effect throughout the system.
Service Design
Setting up effective processes and task flows. I break decisions into digestible pieces, both online and off. Other times its changing how the work is done to be more effective and engaging.
Human-Centered Research
Asking the right questions at the right time. Generative research is key to finding the right problem to solve for, and evaluative helps us know if we solved it the right way.
Creative Problem-Solving
Finding the needle in the haystack. I ensure the solution works for the user and business within the technical, time, and budgetary constraints.
Information Architecture
People use websites to find information. They use apps to complete tasks. Ensuring they can figure out where to go and what to do with proper labels and orgainzation is key to good UX.
Designing since 2011
I started my career as a reporter, then found myself in marketing (copywriting and print ads), then a master’s program for teaching.
My focus was on technology in the classroom and was working on websites for work, which is how I learned about UX.
After graduation I decided to focus on making technology easy for everyone.

My Process
Discover + Find
Understand the stakeholder and user goals through generative qualitative and quantitative research. Find the root problem we need to solve.
Define + Plan
Look at the big picture (systems and processes) to understand paramaters and how to connect to broader and/or long-term goals.
Design + Refine
Create solutions (sometimes not digital), test, and iterate to find which solution is best meets users’ needs and business goals.
Deliver + Track
Provide clear and concise deliverables to partners for a smooth transition. Set up touchpoints to ensure success metrics are met.

I own a human-centered, data-informed, problem-solving boutique agency doing research, design (ux and service), and storytelling (marketing and communications).
